2023 Juneteenth Festival

My name is Nashirah Felder, also known as DJ NA$H and I host an annual Juneteenth Festival hosted by my monthly party “Interna$hional Bounce” that I host at the historical Divine Lorraine Hotel. Our mission is to bring together all cultures of the African Diaspora through music and culture and community. This year we will be having our 3rd annual Free Juneteenth Festival and will be expanding to a larger space at One Art Community Center.

As we all know, Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. With Juneteenth being controversial to some, we’ve decided to put a spin on it by uniting all cultures of the African Diaspora to celebrate Black Americans and their freedom while also bringing the gap and bringing all cultures back as one through music and dance making it a Caribbean Carnival/ Dance party feel.

The festival will be held on Saturday June 17 from 1pm-10pm, will include 15+ black DJs and performing artists from Philadelphia,visual artists, 20+ vendors, food trucks, activities and about 2,000 attendees throughout the day.
